  1. Thank you for trying SCRAMBLE(c).
  2. SCRAMBLE is a program that runs
  3. under Windows.  It does two things:
  4.  
  5. 1. It solves the popular JUMBLE(r)
  6. word game published in most U.S.
  7. papers.  You can give SCRAMBLE
  8. a group of five or six letters
  9. from the JUMBLE puzzle and SCRAMBLE
  10. will provide you with two lists.  One
  11. list shows EVERY possible
  12. combination of those letters (the word
  13. you can't figure out is in this list).
  14. The second list is shorter, including
  15. only the letter combinations most likely
  16. to result in real words (your word is
  17. probably in this list).

  20. 2. SCRAMBLE also includes an intriguing
  21. two-player game.  Each player enters
  22. words while the other doesn't look.
  23. Then the computer scrambles the letters
  24. and you play against the clock as well as
  25. each other.  The quicker you solve each
  26. word, the higher your score.  There are
  27. several options--time-per-word, number
  28. of words-per-round, and number of
  29. letters-per-word.

  31. INSTALLING SCRAMBLE
  32.  
  33. Copy SCRAMBLE.EXE to your
  34. Windows directory.  Then
  35. copy the other two files--
  36. THREED.VBX and GAUGE.VBX--
  37. to your Windows/System
  38. directory.

  40. A large file (VBRUN200.DLL)
  41. is required for running Scramble
  42. or any other program written in
  43. Visual Basic 2 (as is Scramble).
  44. If you don't have VBRUN200.DLL,
  45. it is available on most bulletin
  46. boards, on CompuServe, on AOL,
  47. etc.

  49. Then just add SCRAMBLE.EXE to your
  50. Program Manager or whatever
  51. Shell you use.  Or you can
  52. run SCRAMBLE from the Program
  53. Manager or File Manager
  54. RUN menu (click on FILE, then
  55. RUN, then BROWSE).

  58. If you like SCRAMBLE, please register
  59. it.  Registering eliminates
  60. the reminder screen, and also puts you on
